ESES majors have the academic training and credentials that provides both respect in the workplace and entry to advanced degrees programs in arts, law, and the sciences. By choosing the appropriate classes, ESES students can co on to do advanced degrees in many disciplines. Here are some examples:
Science Programs
Students interested in pursuing an advanced degree in science have many options to consider with a bachelors degree in ESES. Disciplinary programs like atmospheric science, ecology, forestry, geology, hydrology, and physical geography are accessible with sufficient math and physics electives. Interdisciplinary programs focusing on natural resources, Earth system science, sustainability, crop sciences, food, health, and natural disasters are also candidates for students to choose from.
Social Programs
Advanced degrees in sociology, history, philosophy, communications, economics, public policy, and international studies are all options that graduates from the ESES major have to consider.
